Jae Perez received her B.S. degree in Art Education from Plymouth University in New Hampshire and a Masters in Art Education from California State, Los Angeles. She has been a Visual Arts Instructor and Artist for 22 years and holds a current K-12 California State Credential in Visual Art. She has worked as a Graphic Designer for the City of Commerce and Unicorn Publishing in Los Angeles and as a layout artist at the Portsmouth Press in New Hampshire. Over the years, students in Ms. Perez’s classes have participated in the L.A. Angel Project and the Mural Project for the Children’s Hospital of L.A. In 2005, Ms. Perez received national recognition for exemplary teaching in AP Studio Art from the College Board.
Mr. Petrone joins Marymount after spending over a decade in college admission at the University of Rhode Island, New York Institute of Technology, Sea Education Association and Whitman College. During the 2008-2012 academic years PJ was the Assistant, and later Associate, Director for the California Regional Admission Office of Whitman College. He was responsible for the recruitment, evaluation and enrollment of all Californians, over 20% of Whitman's incoming classes. PJ gained a breadth of experiences over his career at a wide variety of institutions, and has traveled nationally to visit students and schools, most extensively along the Atlantic and Pacific Coasts. He is a graduate of the College Board's Enrollment Leadership Institute and is a current Board member for the Colleges that Change Lives. Originally from Long Island, New York, PJ earned a dual BS from the University of Rhode Island and an MS in school counseling from the New York Institute of Technology.
Vinh Pham was born and raised in Viet Nam and received his B.A. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona. Mr. Pham has been teaching at Marymount since 2004 and previously taught at Ramona Convent for five years.
Jeff joins the Marymount athletics department this year and in particular he will be coaching volleyball. Jeff was a science teacher for many years, in addition to which, he has a wealth of experience as a player, a high school volleyball coach, a club coach and more recently a volleyball official. Jeff was the high school coach at our neighbor school Brentwood from 1977 through 2016. Jeff continues to be a highly respected volleyball club coach.
