Fall Season Outlook: Golf

New Head Coach, Trent Nishiyama and new Assistant Coach, Joe Hayes have already brought a new structure to Marymount Golf. Coach Nishiyama and Coach Hayes have established discipline, drills and competitive team games, all of which the team is favorably responding to. Summer Golf Camp was held at the Rancho Park Golf Course and it turned out to be one of Coach Nishiyama’s favorite camps! The athletes began each day on the putting greens with drills, followed by team competitive putting games and then chipping par saving drills. The athletes finished the day on the driving range learning how to swing like a Tour Pro! After the success of the summer camp, the golfers were ready for the challenge of tryouts. The athletes sustained two days of intense drills but came through with flying colors and a lot of team encouragement, motivating one another to play their best. As the season looms, Coach Nishiyama and Coach Hayes will strive to rebuild and create a winning team. Their goal is for the athletes to reflect back on the season and feel they had an incredible, unforgettable experience.
