Fall Season Outlook: Tennis

Tennis: Putting in the preseason work bodes well for Sailor Tennis

The work on the court started long before the season, with countless hours of summer preseason practices led by new Coach Andoni Gracia. When tryouts rolled around, the coaching staff and athletic department were all impressed with the amount of sheer talent that graced the court. In the 30 years, Athletic Director, Liz Driscoll has represented Marymount, she has never seen such a talented turn out.

With many key veteran and younger varsity returners, Coach Gracia believes that the Sailors will be strong contenders for a Sunshine League Championship this year. With the incoming freshman class, JV Coach Charles Hutchison trusts that the development and the future of the program is in good hands.

The tennis season promises to be an exciting one, with many new experiences under the tuteledge of new Varsity Coach Gracia and veteran JV Tennis Coach, Charles Hutchison.  Both Coaches look forward to a successful program on all fronts. They believe with the internal competitive team dynamics pushing all to get better, the program will thrive on all levels.
