Varsity Volleyball Redeems Against Great Oak

Marymount faced Great Oak last night, a team that knocked out Marymount two years ago from the playoffs. The Sailors had a lot to prove in their attempt to right the ship. After two close first games Marymount pulled ahead and focused on defense. After a long battle, the Sailors finally closed one out in 3!!

Match Stats and Highlights:
Emma Moffit had 6 kills and a hitting percentage of 640!! Emma got off to a quick start of the match hammering a kill from Haley K.
Sarah A. produced 2 aces, one of which almost knocked someone over- it was so hard!!
Grace F. and Devon N. had 9 kills each.
Cami C. passed a 2.2 on 24 serves!!
Devon, Grace and Yurika had 9 digs each.
Cami Devon, Grace and Yurika had 9 digs each.

Lots of Sailors played in this match with Sarah, Lauren and Ruby all seeing time at Libero. Mitzie played some middle for the first time in regular season play and in her playing career. She has always played outside and has stepped up in a big way to fill a need for the Marymount Team. Lexi served well in game 3 with an ace and 4 serves. It was a total team effort!!
