Sailor Volleyball Faces League Rival Harvard-Westlake

The Sailors knew they would face a team that was ready to battle last night, but Marymount stayed focus to get the job done.

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL:
The win against Harvard-Westlake gives Marymount the best record in the league, making them league champions! -- but it didn't come easy... Marymount played their worst game of the year in game 1, when nothing would come together losing 14-25. Game 2 saw little improvement and the Sailors went down 20-25, beating themselves with errors. Harvard-Westlake served Marymount off the court and blocked well, effectively shutting down the Sailor offense. Game 3 Marymount rallied to win 25-15, taking control of the game with great passing, tough serving, and awesome defense. Harvard-Westlake responded with fire in Game 4, but the Sailors were on a roll, winning the game 25-22. Game 5 was much of the same with the Sailors dominating Harvard-Westlake. Mitzi and Cami each went on serving runs and the Sailors finished the match strong 15-9. Devon led the team with 25 kills and had 4 blocks, Emma made 6 blocks, and Grace had 4 blocks. Devon, Yurika and Cami led the team in digs with 15, 14, and 11 digs respectively. Grace had 27 assists and Haley had 22. The match was hard fought, but the Sailors pulled through with the win in the end! Final Score: 14 - 25, 20 - 25, 25 - 15, 25 - 22, 15 - 9
