Marymount Beach Volleyball Looks to a Promising Season

Marymount Beach Volleyball enters their fourth season and as the three time Westside Division Champions they are ready to defend their title.

Coach Heather Lowe is especially excited about this season in particular because the Sailors have two powerhouse teams to lead the way for Marymount: #1 Team Charlie Robinson and Devon Newberry and #2 Team Erica Lydon and Ruby Lightbourn. With the bar set so high, the quality and efficacy of the practices has increased exponentially, as well as, the aspirations for successful competitions.

The Sailors will face Mira Costa in a scrimmage March 2^nd, which will give the team an idea where they stack up. Costa has been a stalwart team in the past and won the Interscholastic Beach Volleyball League Championship last year as the #1 seed. The Sailors reached the 2^nd round of playoffs the last three seasons, but expectations for playoffs this year are high. The team is learning what it takes to compete at a high level and this adjustment and understanding begins with efficient and quality practices.
