JV Volleyball Has a Tough Loss v. Santa Margarita

The JV Volleyball team had a devastating loss to Santa Margarita on Tuesday night. The team fought to the very end in an extremely close game.

Addy Edwards had a great match. She was effective seining from the outside, and continued to play best when the moment was the biggest. Caroline Douglas had a great first game. She passed well and played good defense. Taylor Ladwig showed off her versatility and hit great from the right and left side. Amara had a great game blocking.

In the end, the Sailors were defeated by Santa Margarita: 16-25, 25-22, 11-15

JV Volleyball came out tentative in their first pre season match vs Santa Margarita. They were trailing by 12 points before they started to find somewhat of a groove. After dropping the first set 25-18 things improved slightly - Amara found a hitting rhythm and Caroline served some aces to win 25-22. In the 3rd set the Sailors found themselves down once again and lost 15-9.
