Volleyball Sweeps FSHA
The Sailors battled Tuesday afternoon and into the evening against Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy to pull off a complete sweep with all four teams: Freshman, Frosh/Soph, JV and Varsity defeating FSHA!
Final Varsity Volleyball Score: 25-23, 20-25, 26-28, 25-19, 15-7
The Varsity match was a battle from the first point complete with injuries that took key players out of the contest. Nevertheless, the Sailors stepped up with Mitzie capitalizing in the middle match and scoring the match winning point for the Sailors! Devon led the team with 24 kills on 50 sets, 19 digs and served 18 balls with one ace. Grace had 49 assists, 13 kills and served 24 balls, the most for the Sailors. Cami led the defense with 20 digs, 11 kills and 2 aces. Sarah also had 2 aces. The passing and serving broke down in the middle 2 games for the Saliors but they battled back with a new line up and won in 5. This was the first league game and a huge win over FSHA who was 12-2 going into the match and ranked in the top 20 in the nation.

The Marymount Freshmen split into 2 squads for Tuesday’s meeting with FSHA, winning both matches in two sets. Both teams started out fast and never let up, maintaining comfortable leads throughout all four sets. The scores of match 1 ended 25-15, 25-11. The scores of match two were 25-8, 25-11
