Sailors Come Through Against Redondo


The Sailors needed 5 exciting sets to finish off Redondo Union yesterday with a final score of: 25-15, 24-26, 25-16, 17-25, 15-6.

Marymount put pressure on Redondo in the first game by serving tough producing 6 aces. Redondo didn't go down easy, coming back strong in the middle of the 2nd at 16-11 and finishing the close game. Game 3 was taken by the Sailors when Cami (2.5) and Devon (2.8) passed flawlessly. Game 4 was tied at 15-15 until Redondo fought back with aces and blocks. Game 5 was a strong win with Marymount going on an 8-1 run, beginning at 7-5. Devon finished the game with 2 consecutive aces!

Devon led the team in hitting with 21 kills
Yurika led in defense with 21 digs
Devon and Grace led in aces with 5 each
Grace had 24 assists and Haley had 22 assists.

FROSH/SOPH VOLLEYBALL:
The Marymount Freshmen defeated Redondo Union Tuesday afternoon in a tough 3 set match.  The Sailors went down big in game 1, but fought their way back to win the first set 26-24.  After dropping the second set 21-25, they rebounded with a strong game 3 performance, closing out the Seahawks 15-10.  Strong performances from Sam Honey, Ava O'Connor, and Kendall Fisher anchored the Sailor comeback.
