    Position Overview:
    The English Teacher is a full-time teacher and member of the English Department, reporting to the Department Chair. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment where value is placed on the skills and passions of the instructor.

    Responsibilities:
    • Work as a team player with other English teachers to coordinate lesson plans and course sequencing, share materials, and embrace a community approach to teaching
    • Design lessons that are well-planned in terms of content, developmental appropriateness, and department sequencing
    • Monitor the progress of each student’s writing, providing intervention or differentiation when necessary and appropriate, consistent high-quality feedback
    • Offer collaborative and individual learning opportunities that support student growth
    • Create an environment that emphasizes learning where students feel safe and welcome
    • Meet with students during office hours and in the department Writing Center to assist with individual writing assignments
    • Serve as grade-level advisor

    Qualifications:
    • A Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
    • Minimum of three (3) years of previous teaching experience, preferably at the high school level, that emphasizes teaching literature and writing

    Position Title: Assistant Athletic Director
    Status: Full-Time, Exempt

    Pay Scale:  $85,000 - $95,000 Commensurate with experience 

    Job Summary 
    The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting in all administrative duties as they relate to the Athletics Department.  The Assistant Director works in collaboration with the Director of Athletics to ensure that the Athletics Department and program at Marymount High School fosters skill development, sportsmanship, understanding of sports, compliance, and an education-based athletics culture. The ideal candidate has a passion for athletics and an all-girls-school education. This position reports directly to the Director of Athletics.

    Responsibilities
    • Collaborate with and assist the Athletic Director on all matters pertaining to the Athletics Department
    • Assist with scheduling team competitions as needed
    • Oversee CIF deadlines, playoff schedules, and transfer students in CIF home
    • Prepare and coordinate the Athletic Officials schedule seasonally
    • Assists the Athletic Director in the supervision of contests at home and away sites.
    • Coordinate and oversee athletic transportation, and team travel itineraries, and expedite all related paperwork as needed. 
    • Assist with accounts payable to include transportation, equipment, and uniform invoice/billing
    • Assist with the ordering, payment, distribution, collection, and inventory of athletic uniforms and team gear
    • Create and maintain content for the Athletics Department’s website and social media accounts
    • Create content and distribute the Athletics push page and the parent push page
    • Responsible for website data entry, design, and publishing, including athletic schedules and rosters
    • Assist in overseeing and mentoring coaches
    • Collaborate with College Counselors to help student-athletes maintain eligibility
    • Help organize events on campus such as NLI signing day, awards ceremonies, and senior nights
    • Mentor athletes in the college recruitment process
    • Oversee Marymount’s award recognition programs
    • Oversee Marymount's Athletic Council and prepare athletic announcements as needed for community events and meetings weekly as well as facilitate a leadership program
    • Attend all Athletic Department, League, and school meetings
    • Oversee facility set-up for home games
    • Ensure that athletic equipment and facilities are maintained in good condition
    • Organize and administer the Athletics Summer Program 
    • Comply with all Marymount High School policies, procedures, and quality standards as well as safety and environmental regulations
    Qualifications:
    • Candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related Athletics field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational environment

    • Ability to prioritize assignments and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
    • Strong knowledge of technology, including the use of Excel, Canva, and other content-creation apps

    Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
    Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible schedule
    Pay Scale: $24.00 - $31.25 Per Hour (Commensurate with Experience)

    Summary/Objective 
    The Marymount High School Cleaner maintains a clean working environment, both inside and outside of campus facilities, for all faculty, staff, students and visitors, ensuring that all areas are in  pristine condition.

    Essential Functions
    Responsible for the following duties daily or weekly (as appropriate):
    • Cleaning, sweeping, mopping, waxing and buffing floors
    • Vacuuming offices, classrooms, halls, stairs, all carpeted areas and rugs
    • Cleaning, washing, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
    • Replenishing restroom and kitchen supplies
    • Cleaning, scrubbing and sanitizing restrooms, kitchen, student and faculty areas
    • Washing classroom chalkboard, windows, walls, doors and water fountains
    • Picking up trash and litter, empties and cleaning garbage receptacles
    • Maintaining outside walk areas, including sweeping debris and washing walkways
    • Moving, arranging and setting up/taking down furniture and equipment for meetings and events
    • Securing all classrooms, offices and buildings at the end of the shift
    • Stacking, arranging and storing furniture, equipment and supplies
    • Observing and reporting the needs for classroom repairs
    • Emergency cleaning resulting from vandalism, breakage and spills
    • Reporting inoperative internal and external lights and other equipment
    • Reporting the need ordering maintenance supplies get low
    • Collecting lunch boxes, clothing and other items left behind and placing them in Lost and Found area
    • Reporting unruly student activities, vandalism and similar situations
    • Keeping walkways, hallways and stairways and handrails need and clean
    • Participating in campus deep cleaning during summer, winter and spring breaks

    Other Duties

    Physical Demands
    This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing stairs much of the day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 30 pounds.

    Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years working in a custodial/cleaning position.
    • School experience preferred.

  • Gardener

    Position Title: Gardener                    
    Reports to: Facilities Manager
    Department: Facilities
    Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt  
    Pay Scale: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour and commensurate with experience

    Job Summary
    Marymount High School is looking for a full-time Gardener to begin immediately. The School’s grounds include, but are not limited to, landscaped areas, roadways and paths, irrigation systems, and one adjacent residential property. This position is an essential member of the school’s Facilities team and will work closely with the Facilities Manager helping to ensure the grounds and facilities are pristine. The ideal candidate has landscaping, gardening, and groundskeeping experience, well-developed people skills, and a history of providing the highest level of service. Working in a school environment is preferred, but not required. 

    Responsibilities include:
    Ensure the high levels of cleanliness, beauty, and maintenance of the school’s historic grounds; duties include, but are not limited to: 
    • Mow, edge, trim, and water lawns, fields, and other turf grounds; edge walkways; hoe and pull weeds and rake leaves; sweep litter from walks, driveways, and other assigned areas.
    • Plant, cultivate, prune, spray, fertilize and irrigate flowers, trees, grass, hedges and shrubs; water various grounds areas and potted plants by hand or by operating the irrigation system as required.
    • Perform general grounds cleanup, including picking up and removing paper, trash, trimmings, and debris from grounds areas, parking lots, and other assigned areas; empty outdoor waste receptacles; report need for repairs or unsafe conditions.
    • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment such as mowers, edgers, blowers, sprayers, trucks, backhoes, excavators, skip loaders, tractors, trimmers, chainsaws, shears, trenchers, grinders, and line marking machines; utilize standard gardening hand tools; replace blades and fluids as needed; drive a vehicle to conduct work.
    • Assist with installing, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems as assigned; adjust, repair and replace sprinklers; assist with digging holes and trenches.
    • Assist with other grounds maintenance and repair activities including tree removal, tree topping, fence repair and others as requested.
    • Load, unload, haul, and transport supplies, clippings, debris, materials, and equipment as required
    • Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

    Qualifications:
    • Three to five years of experience in grounds care/gardening
    • Strong verbal communication skills and a positive “can-do” attitude
    • The ability to work in a team environment, as well as by yourself

    Hourly rate: $30-$38 /hour commensurate with experience.

    Marymount seeks to hire an experienced and enthusiastic leader to serve as the Girls Head Junior Varsity Tennis Coach. The ideal candidate must be able to improve the performance of student athletes through motivation, technical instruction, game strategies, and techniques in order to prepare them for competition. In addition to helping the athletes develop an appreciation for the sport. This position is seasonal from August 2025 through November 2025.
     
    Job Duties & Requirements
    • Provides leadership, supervision, and organization for the Junior Varsity Tennis Program and is responsible for carrying out the objectives of the entire athletic program within the guidelines of the Marymount Athletic Department Philosophy
    • Develops an organized practice schedule to provide individual and team instruction 
    • Works closely with the Varsity Head coach for the development of the program
    • Educates the players regarding game rules, regulations and equipment care
    • Accompanies the team to all scheduled games
    • Assesses and determines the need for individual and team improvement
    • Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior & provides appropriate supervision of athletes at all times
    • Helps and encourages athletes to maintain high academic standards
    • Informs the Athletic Trainer in the event of an athletic injury
    • Demonstrates a high standard of sportsmanship and models non discriminatory practices when addressing players, officials, spectators and visiting teams
    • Follows the school’s procedures for the proper care, maintenance, and requisitioning of equipment, supplies, and uniforms
    • Works with the Athletic Director to prepare for the end of season award celebration 
    • Attends the coaches meeting and award ceremonies planned by the Athletics Department

    Qualifications:
    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • A minimum of 2 years of relevant coaching experience at the secondary or collegiate level
    • Knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Athletic administrators, parents, and students
