Sailor Cross Country Has Fantastic Fall 2016 Season

Coach Lasan Darboe  believes “It was the great leadership of the seniors and the juniors that kept the team motivated, inspired, and encouraged throughout this season”. The Sailors began the season with fantastic performances in invitational meets. These dominating victories gave the team great confidence, excitement, and enthusiasm for the rest of the season. “We are sorely going to miss our brilliant senior class”, Coach Darboe acknowledged.  

 

The Varsity cross-country team took second place in the Mission league with an overall record of 12-4 we qualified to compete in the CIF prelims on the 12th November at Riverside and we currently ranked 9th in division IV. 

 

The Sailors had some fanastic team highlights. Senior Lindsey McAillster had a stellar year. She finished first at league finals, was named MVP of the Mission League and set a new school and personal record of 17:10. Senior Megan Carroll finished sixth and Freshman Lizzy Rielly finished ninth place- both were named to the all-league first team. Freshman Lucia Perez-Saignac and Junior Josephine Rielly were all named to the second team All-League. 

 

Coach Darboe is pleased to announce the roster heading to CIF Prelims this Friday, November 11^th at the Riverside City Cross Country Course:

Senior Megan Carroll, Senior Claire Pregler, Senior Lindsey McAllister, Senior Cecilia Hartge, Senior Nicki Jackson, Junior Josephine Rielly, Freshman Lizzy Rielly, Junior Kenya Jamieson, Freshman Lucia Perez-Saignac and Sophomore Bella Wright

 

Our amazing Junior Varsity team finished third place in league with overall record of 8-8 for the season. Coach Darboe believes, “Our JV team was brilliant all season long, with everyone setting new personal records with every meet”. Sophomore Bella Wright ran outstanding race to placed 2nd in Mission Finals.
